Islamic Unity is the core value of Islam. Allah
commands Muslims to be united, to be friends and protectors of each other, to
avoid disputes and division. If Muslims failed to unite, if they failed to be
friends and protectors of each other, Allah says, there will be turmoil and
great corruption in the land.
Hold fast to the rope of Allah all
together, and do not separate. (Surat ali-Imran, 103)
Those who are unbelievers are the
friends and protectors of one another. If you do not act in this way there will
be turmoil in the land and great corruption. (Surat al-Anfal, 73)
There is indeed turmoil and corruption in the
world today. Disunity has weakened Muslims. It has opened the way to every kind
of afflictions in the Muslim world. Kashmir is under siege, asking for help for the last 7
decades; Afghanistan is trembling with frequent attacks; Yemen is facing
world's most sever humanitarian crises, Syria is almost entirely destroyed,
Uyghurs and Rohingyas are subjected to worse ethnic violence, the situation of
Muslims in Palestine and in other parts of the world is no different, Muslims
in short are persecuted every where.
In Yemen alone, tens of thousands of civilians have
been killed by Saudi-led coalition and pro Houthi forces since 2015. Describing the terror Yemen is
facing everyday, Panel chairman of the group expert on Yemen Kamel Jenoubi said, there is no safe place in the
entire Yemen as strikes from both parties hit civilians even at the places
where there is no active conflict, and often without warning. 2019's report of UN over
Yemen states: 80% of total 24 million Yemenis are in need of protection
and humanitarian assistance, 41 % of which are suffering from extreme level of
hunger. The whole country is on the brink of collapse if the life saving aid is
not delivered to them.
The civil war going on in Syria has
tremendously effected the lives of civilians. Since the onset of brutal war to
March 2019, 570,000 innocent civilians have lost their lives, out of
which 28,486 were children, Many have drowned to death, fleeing the
country in search for secure place. War has left 12 million
Syrians displaced , 6.7 million of which are living the harsh life as
refugees, other half who couldn't find refugee in other countries are
internally displaced. There is lack of food, some even do not find fresh water
to drink much less to clean themselves. Picturing Iraq and Afghanistan is no
less terrific, our Muslims brothers there are suffering from similar
circumstances.
Countries with non-Muslim oppressive regimes have made life horrible for Muslims, In Kashmir,
extremist Hindus militants are violating every form of
human rights, they are being blinded, killed, tortured, abused for the last 70
years, merciless curfew has been imposed on them after India stripped Jammu and
Kashmir of its autonomy. Similar atrocities are committed in Myanmar and East
Turkestan. Houses of our Muslim Rohingyans are burned down, they are forced to
flee to neighboring countries which are not
willing to accept them, life for them in refugee camps have been so harsh,
women there are raped, child are abused, food is insufficient, lack of cleanliness is
causing the outbreak of diseases. Both the international community and our own Muslim countries
have failed to
bring poor and desperate Muslims out of this situation. Muslim countries in
fact are themselves involved in shedding the blood of their own Muslim
brothers. In such a case they cannot even think to do anything for their
persecuted brothers in other countries. And International community watching
all these atrocities taking place chose to take no action, as the victims are
but Muslims. The main reason for which is the poor reputation of Muslims
worldwide. Muslim world has taken made up, false and oppressive rulings as
their guide instead of beautiful morality of Quran. Had Muslims followed Quran
and remain united, not a single Muslim in the whole world would have been
oppressed. Allah has shown Muslims the solution to this persecution; it is to form faith based unity
and to become brothers and protectors of each other. All the Islamic
countries which are fragmented right now, need to come together, leaving behind
their differences that leads to conflicts, and form strong spiritual and
unshakable brotherhood which should be exemplary in love and kindness to others. It is an obligation for Muslims to be one nation doing good and
forbidding from evil and wrong. And being an active voice for the oppressed ones.

Your article is full of good intentions & actual facts. The problem within the Muslim world is basically different priorities and vast misinterpretation of the Holy Quran. The question arises as to how to unite them under a single banner. Fifty seven Muslim countries and 72 sects each having difference of opinion over choice of enemies, friends, history, Politics, religion etc etc. The only way to get along and unite is to highlight the commonalities and ignore the difference in full letter & spirit. Let's hope Muslims wake up before it's too late.
