The second coming of our beloved prophet Jesus

Throughout history, Allah has shown people the true path through the prophets that He has sent to them. In times when people left religious moral values and evil had become widespread, Allah sent Messengers to bring people from darkness to Light. When Jews deviated from the right path of Prophet Moses and altered the teachings, Allah sent Prophet Jesus to the Jewish community to restore the religion.

Allah says in the Holy Quran

And when Jesus came with clear signs, he said: "I have come to you with wisdom and to clarify for you some of the things about which you have differed. Therefore, have fear [and respect] of Allah and obey me. Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path." The various factions among them differed. Woe then to those who did wrong on account of the punishment of a painful Day!

Prophet Jesus's Miraculous birth

Prophet Jesus had a miraculous birth. He was born without a father. Some of the Quranic verses about Prophet Jesus' miraculous birth are as follows:

The Messiah, Jesus son of Maryam, was only the messenger of Allah and His Word, which He cast into Maryam, and a Spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. Nisa 171

When the angels said: "Maryam, your Lord gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Maryam, of high esteem in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near. He will speak to people in the cradle and when fully grown, and will be one of the righteous." (Surah Al 'Imran:45-46)

The likeness of Jesus in God's sight is the same as Adam. He created him from earth and then He said to him, "Be!" and he was. (Surah Al `Imran, 3:59)

His Message to people

Just like all the other Prophets,  the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) also told his people to worship one Allah, fear and respect, love and live only for Allah. He told them that they needed to display the proper morality to win Allah's good approval, turn their backs on superstition, and avoid committing injustice.

"I am indeed a slave of God.  He has given me the Book and made me a Prophet, and He has made me blessed wherever I may be.  And He has enjoined upon me prayers, and to pay the alms, as long as I live and (He has made me) kind to my mother, and He has not made me insolent, unblessed.  And may Peace be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and on the Day I shall be raised to life." (Quran 19:30-33)

Miracles Prophet Jesus performed by the permission of Allah

Prophet Jesus was bestowed with extraordinary qualities,

And a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. (Quran, 3:49)

Plot against him

The Qur'an reveals that the unbelievers devised a plot to take Jesus' life.  According to some sources, a group of bigoted Jewish scribes and priests bribed Judas Iscariot, one of the disciples, to betray him, after which they would arrest Jesus and hand him over to the Romans. According to the same sources, the priests did not have the power to sentence someone to death and so had to make another plan to agitate the Roman regime. Thus, they portrayed Jesus as being hostile to the Roman leadership. The Romans, angered by some jews against Jesus, attempted to kill him. But Allah made their plans come to nothing.

And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners. (Quran, 3:54)

And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. (Quran, 4;157

His ascension to  Allah's Presence

[Allah said:] "Jesus, I will take you back and raise you up to Me and purify you of those who are unbelievers. And I will place the people who follow you above those who are unbelievers until the Day of Resurrection..." (Surat an-Nisa, 158)

Allah raised him [Jesus] up to Himself. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.(Surat an-Nisa, 158)

His second return

Signs of his second return from Quran

The second coming of Prophet Jesus (Pbuh) is the sign of the end times.

Allah says: He [Jesus] is a Sign of the Hour. Have no doubt about it, but follow Me. This is a straight path. (43:61)

I will] raise you up to Me and purify you of those who are unbelievers. And I will place the people who follow you above those who are unbelievers until the Day of Resurrection. Then, all of you will return to Me, and I will judge between you regarding the things about which you differed. (3:55)

There is not one of the People of the Book who will not believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them. (4:149)

"When Jesus (pbuh) comes, all People of the Book will believe in him." This indicates that the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) will return and that true religious moral values will rule Earth under his leadership.
