There is this big misconception in the world that the religion Islam is against modernism. The religious section sees modernity as part of satanic propaganda, and those who are modern think that if they accept Islam, they will have to leave their modernism. This gap is, however, a very artificial one. A person can be both religious and modern.
Modernism in today's world means wearing revealing or stylish clothes, listening to music, dancing to it. All of these are beautiful things and certainly not forbidden by God in any verse of the Quran. The forbidden things are very few and are done so for the good of society. and for sure some groups want to misuse these modern people to further their own agenda and to bring corruption into their modernity as well, for example, Godlessness is being promoted in the name of Modernism, any person who wants to be modern in scientific terms is forced to believe in evolution, although science itself has refuted it. Vaping, drinking, swearing, and now most recently homosexuality is being associated with modernism, the young generation that likes to become modern, also gets swayed by the modern concept of these people and begins to support these societal ills. That's why we would see, despite being harmful and destructive to society, these things have been legalized.
True modernism, however, lies in possessing the highest level of good behavior, the most appropriate way of speaking, a truthful, just, and sound understanding of the world, a desire for peace and harmony for all humanity, striving for it legally and reasonably, expressing opinions with factual basis, sound reasoning, and sincere intentions for everyone's well-being, consuming the best quality healthy food, wearing the most appropriate and high-quality attire, and living in the finest surroundings with beautiful architecture and a clean, green environment. These qualities define a truly modern individual, and a state that facilitates this without injustice is a truly modern state. This is what constitutes true modernism, and Islam guarantees this perfectly. There is no limitation on freedom or rationalism in the Quran; rather, it encourages the best treatment, the best way of living, and being most reasonable. In fact, everything that makes a person truly modern and free is advocated in Islam. Thus, Islam is entirely compatible with modernism. Bigotry, on the other hand, is a human invention stemming from a lack of understanding and knowledge of the Quran, a phenomenon that afflicts religions when people become ignorant of true teachings and accept the words and sources of others as authentic parts of Islam.
By spreading the true teachings of Islam in the Quran and those that matches with the Quran from hadiths, this gap and division can easily be overcome, and thereby a strong, united nation and a prosperous and guided generation will be raised, and the east west civilization incompatibility will also be over, peaceful coexistance, and a war free world would thus become a reality.
